2024 Trips—Not Too Late! 2025 Trips—Not Too Early!

In Ireland, it will be difficult to book the likes of Old Head, Royal County Down & Royal Portrush. We are still finding limited space at many other top names that could be part of your trip.

We encourage you to consider the West and North of Ireland where they like to say, “It’s different up here!”

  • Different? Although the quality of the golf is the same—the experience and the price are different.
    • A more “authentic” Irish experience.
    • A more friendly price point

The North & West of Ireland

This is becoming one of our most popular trips. And the addition of St. Patrick’s Links at Rosapenna takes this trip from good to great.

Another trip of a Lifetime...

Not too many moving parts here!

The Front Nine

Fly overnight to Dublin or Shannon

Meet & Greet at Dublin/Shannon Airport and make your way to the city of Letterkenny where you will check in and unpack for four nights.

The city center is a five-minute walk from your hotel with more pubs and quality restaurants than you will have time for.

From this location, play three great rounds of golf--Sandy Hills and St. Patrick's at Rosapenna and The Glashedy Links at Ballyliffin.

The Back Nine

Moving from the far north of Ireland to the far west. When you play Carne you will be as close as you can get to New York and still be in Ireland!

From your base in the lively town of Ballina, play--County Sligo. Carne and Enniscrone.

  • Seven nights on the Emerald Isle
  • Six Rounds of World-Class Golf

"What's Not To Like...?"

In Scotland, we have one Guaranteed Old Course tee time for the week of July 31st. Other than that, playing The Old Course will be by the Daily Ballot. It will be hard to find a tee time at Royal Troon, Muirfield and Carnoustie. Yet several quality trips can still be booked.

RTG brought the first International Trip to the new Machrie on the Isle of Islay in 2019. The Machrie is an idyllic setting with a great hotel and world-class golf and hospitality. It is not easy to get to, but it is worth the adventure.

We like the Machrie to be the Crescendo of a lineup that includes the likes of Turnberry, Western Gailes, Royal Troon, Prestwick, Dundonald Links, Machrihanish Golf Club and Machrihanish Dunes.

In Spain, play the great golf of the Costa del Sol while enjoying some of the best summer weather on the planet! Featuring courses such as Valderrama, La Reserva, Sotogrande, Finca Cortesin, La Hacienda, San Roque and more. Bonus—play all these courses without a hotel change! The Costa Del Sol is a great experience. Ocean front hotels, beach bars and outstanding restaurants.

In Portugal, several new courses in the past few years have created new adventures. Check out our favorite Stay & Play at Monte Rei.

2025

Before the pandemic, most Ireland and Scotland golf courses opened their books in September for the following season. In the last couple of years, some notable courses started booking in May for the following year. It appears that for 2025 some of the books will open as early as March 1st, 2024.

Thinking about Golf Travel to Ireland or Scotland in 2025—now is a good time to get in touch.
